Mr Bromhead addresses the concerns of Tinonee residents as part of his electorate tour

THE burning local issues of poor roads and coal seam gas mining again dominated discussion as member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead continued his electorate tour with a stop in Tinonee.

Approximately 40 to 50 Tinonee residents attended Mr Bromhead’s public forum and called the state of the Bucketts Way and Tinonee road “disgraceful”. They also expressed concerns at the amount of logging and dairy trucks travelling the roads where their children attend school.

“We’ve already had one fatality directly attributable to the state of the road,” one community member said. “How many more do we need to have before something is done about it?”

Mr Bromhead was very positive following the forum and said he was happy to have a better understanding of the community concerns in Tinonee.
