Tensions between a coal seam gas explorer and protesters continue to increase after an arrest at an exploration site near Ipswich on Thursday.
A woman was arrested by police when about 25 protesters took part in a demonstration at Silverdale, west of Kalbar, on Thursday morning.

Protestors said the woman was later released from the Ipswich lockup.

Protesters also claimed a man climbed on to the rig, but that he came down when requested by police to leave the site about 35km south of Ipswich.

Arrow Energy vice-president of exploration Tony Knight said the drill rig had finished drilling and was being dismantled when the protesters pounced.
