Camden region residents' coal seam gas drilling concerns eased



AGL head of operations Mike Roy says Camden has the highest number of gas wells in the state

AGL SENIOR staff members are working hard to ease the concerns of Camden region residents about coal seam gas drilling.

During a media tour of the Menangle Rosalind Park Gas Plant last week attended by the Macarthur Chronicle, head of operations Mike Roy said the company was committed to ensuring residents knew exactly what the gas giant did and what impact they had on residents and the environment.

Mr Roy confirmed the Camden region had the highest number of gas wells in the state, with 89 producing wells to date and over 140 wells drilled since the Camden Gas Project began in 2001. "There is a lot of misinformation when people don't understand the facts," Mr Roy said.
